Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of work motivation
and work discipline on employee performance at PT Kartika Jala Kencana.
Primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed to employees of PT Kartika
Jala Kencana Tanjung Redeb, totaling 30 people as respondents, using a saturated
sampling method or census. The analytical tools used are: validity test, reliability
test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, t test, and F
test.
This study concludes that work motivation has a more dominant influence than work
discipline, namely 0.504 or 50.4%. Work motivation partially has a significant
influence on employee performance at PT Kartika Jala Kencana, as evidenced by the
results of the t test where the t-count value is greater than the t-table value (3,550>
2,052) and the significant value is smaller than the probability value (0.001). <0.05).
Work discipline partially has a significant effect on employee performance at PT
Kartika Jala Kencana, as evidenced by the results of the t test where the t-count value
is greater than the t-table value (2.969> 2.052) and the significant value is smaller
than the probability value (0.006). <0.05). Work motivation and work discipline
simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance at PT Kartika Jala
Kencana, as evidenced by the results of the F test where the F-count value is greater
than the F-table value (19.479> 3.35) and the significant value is smaller. of the
probability value (0.000 <0.05). This is reinforced by the results of the coefficient of
determination or the magnitude of the influence given to work motivation and work
discipline on employee performance, namely 59.1%, where this value is included in
the good / strong category.
